About The Festival

Croydon Food and Music Festival has grown steadily over the last six years to become the borough’s largest summer festival attracting over 12,000 people in 2017.
Organised by the South Croydon Business Association, it is held in the town’s famous Restaurant Quarter along South End, which is transformed for the day by colourful food stalls, alfresco dining tables, music stages and street performers.
Originally launched as the South End Food Festival in 2012 as part of the Croydon Recovery Project, the event and re-branding as the Restaurant Quarter, has given the area a robust and recognisable identity, complementing the many different eating establishments which serve a wide range of high quality international cuisine.
Re-named the Croydon Food & Music Festival for 2017, the event will feature three stages of live music acts this year, performing folk and rock to jazz and blues. There will also be street performers and children’s entertainment.
South End will be closed to traffic for the day between Coombe Road and Aberdeen Road, allowing crowds to make their way up and down the street enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of a truly great day out.
Croydon’s Restaurant Quarter is well known as the jewel in the town’s crown. Together with the Croydon Food and Music Festival, they play a major part in the ongoing transformation of the borough. This success story is only possible thanks to the South Croydon Business Association, representing over 100 independent businesses in the area, and the amazing event sponsors who ensure its continued success, year upon year.
There are many opportunities to support the festival either as a sponsor, food retailer, or performer. Please check out the website for more details.
And of course, it could not happen without the continued support of the many thousands of local people who turn out with their friends and families every year to enjoy this fantastic community event.
