Make a date with Croydon’s biggest and best 2018 summer party!

Croydon’s biggest summer party is set to sizzle for the 7th great year with a great line up of music, entertainment and fabulous food for the whole family.

The Croydon Food and Music Festival in association with Leon House will be held from 12 noon to 7pm on Sunday, 24th June in the heart of the borough’s famous Restaurant Quarter.

The hugely popular FREE event, which attracted more than 12,000 people last summer, will once again see the ‘villagey’ South End closed to traffic to allow visitors to relax and enjoy the carnival atmosphere.

Visitors can sample world cuisine from dozens of street food and restaurant stalls, dining alfresco at tables along the street. There will be cocktail and prosecco bars for the grown-ups – and street performers and entertainment for the children throughout the afternoon.

Two featured stages will host top class acts and bands performing every genre of music from folk and rock to jazz and blues.

The 2018 festival’s headline sponsor is Leon House, a landmark development in the heart of South End. The iconic 1960’s office block, Leon House, is being transformed into 263 luxurious one and two-bedroom apartments by developers FI Real Estate Management.

Announcing their sponsorship of the Croydon Food and Music Festival, a spokesperson for property and asset management company, FI Real Estate Management said: “We are thrilled that Leon House is headline sponsor of the Croydon Food and Music Festival 2018. In recent years the event has become a fixture of the borough’s social calendar, and serves as a celebration of the best food and restaurants on offer in Croydon and beyond.

“Leon House is located within Croydon’s restaurant quarter, a part of the town that has been reinvigorated in recent years through office and retail developments. When our bold vision for Leon House is fully realised, this historic building’s new lease of life, as a premium residential location, will further enhance Croydon’s status as one of the most vibrant and up and coming parts of London. It is therefore more than fitting that Leon House returns as sponsor for the second consecutive year – we can’t wait for the event to take place.”

The festival was founded by South Croydon Business Association (SCBA) and organised on their behalf by White Label Creative. It is also sponsored by Bagatti’s Restaurant, Bryden Johnson, London Borough of Croydon Councillors Maria Gatland, Michael Neal and Jason Perry, Croydon Partnership, Scream Studios and Tre Fratelli.

Welcoming the 2018 festival, SCBA chairman Waseem Sherwani said: “The Croydon Food & Music Festival is a remarkable success story that has grown steadily in popularity, reputation and size since it launched in 2012. The Association is proud of the way businesses and the community come together to support the event each and every summer. Everyone from the local restauranteurs and artisan street food stallholders, to businesses of all types and sizes, help to make this amazing, fun event so successful and enjoyable for families and people of all ages.”

Peter Bagatti, SCBA Deputy Chairman & Owner, Bagatti’s Restaurant, Croydon, added: “Last year’s festival was a fantastic day which showcased our exciting and fast changing borough at its very best. It brought together people of all backgrounds and cultures to enjoy great food and music in a happy, carnival atmosphere. And bringing people together is what the Croydon Food & Music Festival is all about.
We hope you join us in supporting this big, brilliant and beautiful community event in one of the town’s most vibrant areas in 2018.”
