Biggest & best festival back on 23 June 2019!

Croydon Food & Music Festival returns for an 8th great year on Sunday, 23rd June with more entertainment, more music and an even wider range of international cuisine.

More than 12,000 people turned out in the sunshine last year and organisers hope even more will enjoy the borough’s biggest free summer party in Croydon’s famous Restaurant Quarter.

Once again the Quarter in ‘villagey’ South End will be closed to traffic to allow visitors to relax and enjoy the carnival atmosphere. They can look forward to:

• More than 90 different street food stalls
• A demo-kitchen stage with top local chefs
• Street cocktail and prosecco bars
• Live music with Hoodoos hosting a stage of top bands
• Street performers and stiltwalkers
• Entertainment for the kids

The event will be open from 12noon to 7pm, with festival-goers being able to dine alfresco at tables set out along the street, while sampling world cuisine from many of the great local restaurants as well as the street food stalls.
Top class bands and solo artists will perform every genre of music, from folk and rock to jazz and blues, with local venue Hoodoos hosting a stage of prime acts.

Organised annually by the South Croydon Business Association, which represents 100 local independent businesses, the Festival has become a highlight of the area’s summer calendar, drawing people of all ages from right across south London.

Restauranteur Peter Bagatti of the South Croydon Business Association is delighted that the event is returning again, bigger and better than ever: “I am proud to say this is now our eighth year of the Croydon Food & Music Festival. It has developed massively since it started in 2012 with triple the amount of people and stalls than we had back then. But most importantly, it’s now recognised and enjoyed as a fantastic day out for the whole community.”

The Croydon Food & Music Festival 2019 is delighted to be sponsored by: London Borough of Croydon; the Ward Councillors of Fairfield, Sanderstead, Selsdon and South Croydon; Bagatti’s Restaurant; Bryden Johnson; R&F Properties/Queen’s Square; and Regent Land.

There are many opportunities to support the Festival either as a sponsor, food retailer, or performer. Please check out the Home page of this website for more information and contact details.
