Thousands enjoy biggest ever food festival!

Croydon Food and Music Festival returned for fantastic 8th great year on Sunday afternoon, 23rd June 2019!

A record number of almost 13,000 people visited the event in the town’s famous Restaurant Quarter in South End, which was closed to traffic for the day.

They enjoyed alfresco dining on international cuisine served from over 90 street food and restaurant stalls, cookery demonstrations by local chefs on the mobile kitchen stage, drinks stalls serving cocktails, prosecco and gin, as well as street entertainment and two stages of brilliant live music featuring fantastic local bands.

The festival is organised by South Croydon Business Association – Chairman Waseem Sherwani (pictured below, second right) and Deputy Chairman Peter  Bagatti (left) are pictured with Mayor of Croydon Councillor Humayun Kabir and his wife Rahena.

Our thanks to our amazing sponsors who made this unique community event possible, including London Borough of Croydon; the Ward Councillors of Fairfield, Sanderstead, Selsdon and South Croydon; Bagatti’s Restaurant; Bryden Johnson; Queen’s Square – whose team is pictured with the Mayor and Lady Mayor below – and Regent Land Developments.

Thanks also to our fabulous stallholders, entertainers and musicians for providing the food, drinks, music and fun.

And of course a big thanks to the thousands of local people from Croydon and beyond who came along to help create this wonderful day!
